Day 0: the appointment

The medication is placed into selected muscles using several small injections. Mild redness, pinpoint swelling, tenderness, or bruising can occur. These injection-site changes do not represent the final result and often improve quickly.

You will receive product- and treatment-specific aftercare. Contact your provider promptly if you develop a concerning or unexpected symptom rather than waiting for a routine follow-up.

Days 2–7: early change

Some people begin noticing less movement or a softer expression within several days. Others notice very little at first. Different areas can also respond at different speeds, so temporary unevenness during the first week does not necessarily predict the final result.

Avoid repeatedly testing the muscles throughout the day. Normal expression is enough; constant mirror checking can make subtle day-to-day changes feel more dramatic than they are.

Around two weeks: the meaningful assessment point

The effect may continue developing for up to two weeks. This is why LUVION uses approximately two weeks as the standard point to evaluate the result, movement, balance, and whether any refinement is clinically appropriate.

A follow-up is not an automatic promise of additional product. It is an opportunity to assess how your anatomy responded, document the outcome, and decide whether the result is complete or whether a conservative adjustment would support the original plan.

How long do results last?

Results are temporary. Many patients describe an effect lasting roughly three to four months, but there is no single timeline for everyone. Stronger muscles, treatment area, product, dose, metabolism, exercise patterns, prior treatment, and individual response can all influence duration.

Movement usually returns gradually rather than on one specific day. Keeping a record of your product, dose, placement, response, and preferred level of movement helps future appointments become more individualized.

Planning before an event

For weddings, photographs, travel, or major events, leave enough time for the result to develop and for common bruising or swelling to resolve. A consultation well in advance is more useful than choosing an exact treatment date from a generic timeline because your medical history, prior response, and event schedule may change the recommendation.
